Feeling Peaky - Cured by an Op Shop & a Cycle Ride!

Monday 16 March

Sadly I seemed to get hit by a 24 hour lurgy - slept badly and woke with sore knees (standard), a fully blocked nose and a stonking headache. Louis headed into town for a physio appointment on his neck (gotta be fit for the swim next weekend) and I huddled in bed feeling sorry for myself.

Eventually the paracetamol kicked in and I felt a bit more human, so I packed a bag and we whizzed into the aquatic centre so Louis could swim and I sat in the spa then had a lovely hot shower and washed my hair… came out feeling heaps better but still a little whooshy. Hit the Sallies op shop to see if that would perk me up - and it did! Louis got a replacement pair of denim shorts and I got a Two Paddocks T-shirt in honour of local hero Sir Sam Neill and a Roxy bucket hat!

Back at Banjo, the afternoon sun was glorious so we hopped on the bikes and went off cycling - hoping the vitamin D boost would hit the spot! With blue skies matching Louis' cycle shirt and Clutha waters matching my linen shirt, the day improved massively. We went out as far as the Lavender Farm (sadly closed) and came back through the back streets of Albert Town and along the river bank back to the campsite.

Low key dinner and an early night to round off a quiet day.
