Feeling a Bit Under Par at Albert Town

Tuesday 7 April
Bit of a down day at Albert Town, in more ways than one as the cold I’d been fighting for 3-4 days erupted into a fuggy head, streaming nose and explosive sneezes so we had a pretty chill day. We hit the shops for some food, hose bits, a hard drive, fleecy blankies and a new inner tube as Louis’ bike got a puncture. I even rescued a bee in the parking lot at the shops 🐝
Louis fixed the tyre and headed out on the bike for a bit but I lurked at Banjo for much of the day. There were definite signs of autumn as I wandered about the camp (mostly on trips to the toilet block) - leaves were taking on yellow & golden hues, and rosy red berries were everywhere. Did have to giggle at the campers who didn't have a cone so left their table & chairs (and towels, bucket & Birkenstocks) out to reserve their space for later... but why? As it was right next to a portaloo (just out of shot) and those things smell really chemically!
Felt a wee bit better after a siesta so walked a big block through Albert Town before we settled in for the night and watched “Rental Family” which was fascinating and much better than expected.
