Tuesday 10 March
On the move again - we left Treehouse Retreat a lovely collection of stones as our calling card (I had to cull my rock collection - so left these beauties on the fence post) and took our dirty Banjo off to the Harewood Tunnel Wash for a big shampoo & rinse.
This place is awesome for caravans and mohos as they have a mobile ladder 🪜 so you can get up high and clean the solar panels on the roof, and the foaming shampoo brush is on bonkers overdrive, making it more like a chilly foam party.

Hit the road south to Timaru with a brief pause in Ashburton for lunch in the shiny van, and parked up next to the Tomkinsons’ Moho at PharLap Raceway mid-afternoon. Had a lovely welcome from a very bouncy Harley and put the kettle on for a cup of tea & a catch up with Abby.
Jez got home from work a wee while later and we drove them into Caroline Bay for boot camp while we visited the giant aviary (spent ages with the cheeky galahs, rainbow lorikeets and other vibrantly coloured parrots, parakeets, canaries and tropical birds) then had a walk on the beach (no penguins at this hour, just a bunch of gulls, terns and oyster catchers).
Swung by Boot Camp as it finished and decided a quick beer at the Bay Hill was in order, then back to PharLap for a slap up BBQ dinner in the Moho and an early night.
