Wedding Day Minus 2

Thursday 17 April

All our focus now was on Saturday’s wedding and with Cyclone Tam doing her best to crash the party we all had fingers crossed that she'd blow herself out before the big day.

Woke early, packed anything we had unpacked the night before then I battled my way up Queen Street in the wind & rain to Killer Hair to get my cut & recolour from lovely Jacob.

3 and a half hours and many dollars later I left looking fab, then almost immediately lost all my lovely new styling to the weather! Amy, Louis & Mia swung by to collect me and we set off for Tauranga. Mia riding shotgun on Louis' lap was only happy with her face out the window - which was not always ideal on the highways and in the pouring rain!

Eventually made it after hours of being battered by the storm - turned out to be just as bad down here, if not worse! Took Mia to Animates for her wash & brush up pre wedding (which she was NOT happy about!) then ate dinner at our cute AirBnB, watched Star Wars & started a jigsaw puzzle that i'd bought at a random shop on the way down 🧩
