Walking by the Waimak

Tuesday 13 May
Tuesday started with a walk and ended with one too… for me anyway. Louis was mostly in recovery mode from Monday’s jab - he’d been advised to take it easy for 3-4 days - but did some studio work.
Abby & I took Harley for walkies first thing then I spent ages sorting photos from the weekend’s ballooning. A Liquid Laundromat visit to wash our new kingsize down duvet from the op shop then I made the bed with it and counted down the hours to hopping under its feathery warmth!
Louis & I took a stroll down at the Waimakariri estuary at Kairaki Beach at sunset - not too far, just a short test of how his back is faring. Perfect golden hour rays and shadows but pretty chilly and breezy. Then I had the pleasure of dump station duties as Louis was still taking it easy 😉 Lucky me! My task is usually filling the potable water tanks, or sometimes helping with the grey water (shower, basin, sink water) - but doing the toilet cassette was a first for me.
Dinner at Banjo with Abby - jubilee chicken curry - and an early night under our clean, new downy doona! 💤
