Two degrees of separation on a rainy North Shore

Saturday 6 September

Spring weather - sunny day followed by rainy day!

So I joined Tim and the kids in the spa/swim pool as we were wet already, but poor Louis stayed away - unsure if he is watertight yet and still feeling a tad ropey.

Once dry again, Louis and I hit the op shops looking for Secret Santa gifts and promptly bumped into Andy & Jess who were out entertaining Florence who is so grown up now (Andy has been recording with Ellamy Studios for over a decade) - such a kiwi 2degrees thing! I was keen to replace my standard silver caravan kettle with the gorgeous painted narrowboat style kettle, but I'm not sure its truly functional!

After lunch at Banjo I met up with Rachel C for a good catch up at Takapuna Beach Cafe - she is so lovely and doing great things musically with her school job. Snuck into another op shop on the way home, where I got judged by a vase!

Back in Beach Haven we went for a walk in the park with Lily and promptly bumped into Shannon walking lovely Alfie & Harley… another 2 degrees moment!

Had a big BBQ and watched the rugby with the Orrs and Tomkinsons - loving the venison that Tim had shot and had prepped - the meat was so delicate and delicious 😋

No photos of the gang - too busy eating BBQ🥩 watching rugby 🏉 and catching up! 🥰
