Turangi, Taupo & Tit Fest!

From Turangi it was a fairly short but rather bumpy drive around the east side of Lake Taupō to Taupō itself.

We opted again to stay at the NZMCA just outside of town and unhitched in time for an early lunch in Banjo. Popped into town after that, dropping Louis at AC Baths for a swim while I did a dark wash at good ole Liquid Laundromat and completed a few shopping chores.

Back to Banjo to make an apple crumble (thank you Stig & Cari for the oaty crumble recipe reminder) for dinner. Had a siesta while the apple stewed then washed and brushed up for dinner with Jules & Jak (we worked with Jules at Titirangi Festival for a few years). Fab homemade pizza followed by my apple crumble & hokey pokey ice cream… and lots of chatting & catching up. Great evening!
