Taking it Easy

Tuesday 25 February

Continuing our journey back to Ōtautahi Christchurch we said a lazy farewell to Tekapo after a walk for me and a cycle for Louis, and set off for Geraldine.

Lunch at the lovely Barkers flagship store where I was delighted and amused to find that the menus came in two sizes - A4 for the youngsters and A3 with large type for us middle class women of a certain age which is most definitely the Barkers demographic!

Then we tootled back to Peski which is a highly spoken of POP (Park over Property). Sue and Darren have a property just outside Geraldine and have opened it up to NZMCA members for $10 a night or $20 with power. We rocked up to find about 8 other vans and mohos parked up, with room for plenty more. It was a lovely peaceful spot, with use of a toilet, shower, washing machine and a microwave for a small donation and the hosts were very organised and friendly.

A chill evening with Louis doing some music and me trying to catch up with my blogging. Just the low key day that we needed!
