Sunshine, Cheesecake and a Chance Meeting...

Onwards and upwards with Louis’ recovery - we had a slow morning in the apartment then took him out for a wee wander after lunch.

This time we made it to the traffic lights at the end of Queen Street, crossed over and walked back along the opposite side of the street. At this rate we’ll make it to Island Gelato by the end of the week!!

Louis settled in for a siesta and I headed out again for a walk - out to Britomart Square, along Customs Street where I played matchy matchy with a building, up Queen Street, past Ella & Josh's old flat in the Guardian Building and accidentally (not) found myself at Fed Deli where I bought Louis a slice of his favourite NY cheesecake. Delivered it to the apartment, he grunted and went back to sleep!

I took this as a hint to go out walking again, and heading towards the Wynyard Quarter bumped into lovely Jay Monzon from 2degrees days. Had a good natter before pressing on to check out the super yachts - many of which were sadly missing!

Got home at golden hour and Louis had just woken up… so I got him to wave from the balcony so that I could work out which level we were on from the street!

Pasta for dinner - trying to eat up some of our Banjo food stores so we don’t have to take it back with us next week!!! Ooh - and I finished Amy’s rainbow puzzle 🧩 yay!
