Star Wars Day!

I guess being camped this close to a big river in the second day of duck hunting season it wasn’t surprising to wake to distant gunshots, but it was a little disturbing at first!

After Cass scrambled eggs for breakfast, Louis set off on a cycle ride along the Waimakariri and Abby & I took Harley to the dog park which we all thought was awesome! Jez headed into town to get the final parts for his diesel heater installation.

A reheated pasta bake for lunch then we recorded a best wishes video for Kate & Trev for their May the Fourth Be With You wedding day 🥂 before packing up and heading to Hororata to camp at the Ballooning Canterbury POP for the next few days.

Abby & I did a trip back into Rolleston for my third & her first Liquid Laundromat visit of the week and for supplies…

then homemade burgers on the Weber for dinner and an earlyish night - early morning ahead!
