Saturday 28 December

It was a chill day after a late night greeting Abby & Jeremy on their arrival in the early hours. Having approximately 5 hours sleep left us all a little jet lagged and dozy so we hung out at the vineyard all morning. Harley seemed very pleased to be here, and especially to see Louis. He seemed none the worse for his bumpy ferry journey.

Breakfast was croissants and Abby & I enjoyed a cup or two of Tea Total Earl Grey to celebrate their arrival!!

The blazing sunshine was glorious and I had another small yoga session - this time with my mat laid out between the vines. Lying there stretching my hamstrings looking up at the tops of the vines and the blue skies above was so relaxing I almost fell asleep!

After a casual lunch we headed into the outskirts of town for a spot of shopping at Bunnings and Pak'n'Save.

Back at the vineyard, after a great deal of indecision, Jez & Louis cycled off to Moa Brewery and Abby & I followed shortly after in the Pajero. Sadly we only had 3 helmets between 4 of us so we couldn't all cycle.

Such a cute spot and somehow we scored three flights of taster beers & ciders at 220mls for the price of 110ml glasses! I took a shine to Louis' Apple & rhubarb cider which was as delicious as it was pretty!

Back to the Goldschmidt vineyard afterwards to walk Harley down the vines and then BBQ burgers on the Weber - Jez is a true burger wizard and created delicious patties.

We all turned in early to make up for the previous late night, not long after sunset - which was stunning over the vines.

When i popped out for a loo run a few hours later the clear skies were absolutely amazing - it was cold but beautiful.
