Friday 25 July
A frosty sunrise - so clear and beautiful. The wet towel from Banjo’s wash yesterday had frozen solid overnight!

Louis wanted to do some studio work so I spent the morning at Liquid Laundromat (again!) doing the fortnightly bed linen wash. While the washer & dryer were doing their thing I had a lovely wander in the Kaiapoi sunshine and a couple of visits to op shops - only one minor purchase, a cute Christmas T-shirt!
After lunch we went into town to visit Ella at her new “office” - Ninja Valley. This enormous fun house is over 3000 square metres of vibrant orange, purple & pink trampolines, climbing walls, gladiator games and ninja warrior obstacle courses - for all ages but with a focus on adults. Kinda soft play for grown-ups!
Ella is in charge of marketing for the Christchurch venue and is loving her new role.
Louis headed back after that and Ella took me birthday shopping before we went out to Woodend for dinner. We were joined by Emma & Victor Bell and had a lovely catch up over roast chicken and then a few card games - loved Flip7!

Had a snuggle with the hoodlum hounds - Shadow was sooo funny scrambling up on my legs for a smooch - then we drove slowly back to Banjo through thick, thick fog 🌫️
