Monday 29 September
Busy day - we were on the Harbour Bridge by 8.30am, heading for my specialist appointment for my chronky knees.
Done & dusted by 10ish, we went over to Mt Eden to have coffee & almond croissant š„ with Helen. Her new passion, after taking up metal sculpting, is glass art - she is creating imagery using free glass sheet off cuts from A Touch of Glass on Pah Road. Next stop was Green Bay for Louisā hygienist appointment then New Lynn for my prescription - a very medical day! We could tell we were back in West Auckland when the traffic was stopped on Kinross Street so that a concerned citizen could escort mumma duck and her ducklings across the road! More ducks at Green Bay - it truly is West Duckland!
Back up north Louis did his second swim - 800m this time, so building gradually - and I did some caravan catch-up (gallons of laundry!)š§ŗ
Early evening we whizzed back into town for dinner at Wynyard Grill with the Fernandi on a cheeky First Table deal. Lovely evening and great food!
