Less Sun and More Day!

Sunday 30 November

Same same but different on Sunday. Luke & Yamille swung by Green Bay and scooped us up, we drove out to the airport with them, dropped them off for their flight back to Blenheim and kept hold of the Goldschmidt car for our use again.

Sara had a day off from hospital visits so we went straight on in to see how the night had gone and to set Helen up for the day. Generally good news - less delirium overnight, on reduced pain meds and at lunch she sat in a chair to eat her omelette and pumpkin soup which was major progress, but exhausting!

We left her to snooze in the afternoon, popped to Pak'n'save to buy dinner, then the rain came… after a week or more of scorchio temperatures, we had about a week's worth of rain in 3 hours, flooding the Fernandi driveway, chicken enclosure and lawns - yikes! Louis & Russ went back to the hospital to hang with Helen and I hung with Nickie & cooked our favourite Creamy Dijon Chicken for dinner.

Finally caught up with the Taskmaster S20 final (so much fun, and so controversial) then fell into bed - tired and very full!
