Last Day of Autumn

An amazing pinky red light crept into Banjo as we woke around 7.30am - looking out of the window, the sky was on fire, the clouds glowing orange, scarlet and gold against a bruised grey blue backdrop. Looking away from the sun, the colours were softer, pinks and lilacs - all so beautiful.💛🧡❤️🩷💜. Later we were treated to some funky monochrome skyscapes... not a lot of sunshine sadly.

We chilled at Banjo in the morning then grabbed a quick lunch and hopped on our bikes to cycle over to Woodend Beach to take the hoodlum hounds for a walk on the beach with Josh while the Open Home was happening. The house was looking great and we assisted Josh with a few last minute polishes and tweaks to make it even more perfect!

We saddled up the hounds in their hip-slip leads and set out through the pine forests, over the dune path and onto the sands where we let the dogs run and run and run to their hearts’ content. Shadow was so intense - face planting several times and slobbering out sandy saliva - yeuch!

They had a blast and Jessie rewarded our trust by coming over and allowing herself to be caught and put back on the lead at the end - she is notorious for her capture avoidance tactics! Good news that three groups had come through the house in our absence and 1 had seemed pretty interested…

We cycled back to Banjo and then whizzed into Rangiora so that Louis could swim while I did some shopping (accidentally came back with a racy teal coloured kettle for Banjo from Mitre10 - oops!). Still some amazing cloudscapes as the daylight faded.

Back to Ella and Josh’s for a lovely BBQ dinner followed by TaskMaster and some doggo cuddles. What a lovely easy day!
