Happy Easter Monday!

Monday 6 April
We’d shared mini Lindt eggs with our hosts, caravanning neighbours and friends on Sunday - but our focus had been on Warbirds. So Monday we paused, ate a few more choccie eggs and had an Easter video chat with my sister in London. I couldn’t find where I hid last year’s Easter decos so we bought a couple more and had them hanging above our beds all weekend.
By now there were just the six of us, three vans, camping on Tom’s field, and mid-morning the others left, while we took a while longer to pack up & hitch up. An hour or so later than the others, we were on our way - sending tacit thanks to Tom & his family for letting us stay and to Jenny & Warren for inviting us to join them, before heading into town, avoiding the queues at the dump station (massive), doing a bit of supplies shopping, swimming (in Louis’ case) and then trying the dump station again (marginally less busy).
Once sorted we made a beeline for our favourite spot at Albert Town and were shocked & thrilled to find it vacant so we set up camp there again. I wonder if everyone else is concerned that the ground will crumble away into the rabbit warrens below and therefore avoid this space?!?!
There was definitely a hint of autumn in the leaves of the poplars and the windswept clouds. I enjoyed my last carb based dinner (very cheesy spaghetti bolognese) before hitting the keto diet again tomorrow… all my jeans and shorts are too tight again!!!

Louis had transferred his cold from last week to me so we spent a quiet afternoon & evening me sorting photos from Warbirds, Louis working on his new travel app that he’s developing and both of us watching “Red Eye” on TV as I sneezed & sniffled my way to bedtime! 🤧
