Monday 30 June
Another travelling day - heading to Ōtautahi Christchurch to get Banjo a solar upgrade. It was super chilly when we awoke - we definitely need all the power we can get!
We said our farewells to our lovely hosts at Austin’s Milford Store and shared a banana peel with Garth who was very appreciative!
Next stop was the NZMCA Weedons site in southern Christchurch where we set up, grabbed a bite to eat and then whizzed into town - Louis to swim at the Graham Condon Pool and me to the op shops. No purchases but I did eyeball some Banjo coloured cushions for the summer.
Back to Banjo for pork chop dinner, a bit of onward planning - ferry booking for the trip north and some possible stops along the way - plus a long overdue look at our food budget (spoiler alert - June was 30% over budget… I blame Abby & Jez!)

Bit more PokerFace as we snuggled under the fabulous downy duvet with a hot water bottle as temperatures plummeted outside!
