Sunday 21 December
An early morning - up and out to pick up Ella & Josh then deliver them to the airport for their flight north to Christmas in Matarangi with the Whitefields. By chance, Abby & Jez were on a flight to Auckland an hour later so we grabbed airport breakfast (sushi for me - nom nom!) whilst waiting to see them and wish them “Bon voyage!” too.
Back at Banjo we packed up, hitched up and dragged Banjo over to Woodend Beach to park up in front of McIntosh Manor (aka Ella & Josh’s place) to start our Christmas dog sitting duties.
Did a bunch of laundry and general clearing & tidying, ate party leftovers, cuddled the hoodlums (when they weren't crashed out on the deck, exhausted from yesterday's partying) and then headed over to Cashmere for dinner with Matt & Emma. Louis used to study music with Matt back in the 80s and it’s always so good catching up with them, their kids and adorable Tui the dog.
Lovely evening and a very suspicious welcome home later from the hoodlums as we had Tui scent on us!
