Sunday 15 June
We both had cold noses when we woke at Glenmac on Sunday morning. Forecast was not too cold but it was fristy frosty out so we flung on the heating before climbing out of bed! Joined my sister online for a singalong with Tony Hadley at a retro gig in Margate… I know this much is true! 🎶
We all had a slow morning then packed a picnic, got the bikes ready and headed out to join the Alps2Ocean trail to Duntroon and on to Elephant Rocks.
Coffee break at the Flying Pig cafe went pear shaped when I ordered a hot chocolate and Louis and I shared a huge slice of amazing cheesecake - oops! #manykilos
From Duntroon we cycled on up to Elephant Rocks where we ate our picnic lunches on the wobbliest picnic table ever!
Spent a wee while exploring the fascinating rocks before realising we had to whiz back in case we lost the light - sunset may officially be 5pm but the mountains make it more like 4.25pm!
Popped up the farmhouse once we’d sorted bikes and had showers etc - for drinkies and nibbles with our lovely POP hosts, Kaye & Keith. It’s always great to meet the people who share their land with us and hear their stories.
Dinner in the kitchen again - burger night, yay! 🍔 🍔
