Deeper into Gold Country

Tuesday 8 July
Fristy frosty morning - the car, the paddocks, the plants along the verge - all twinkly and icy!
We took things easy and packed up slowly, not wanting to drive on still frozen roads. Travelling north up to Roxburgh the fields to our right were mostly in shade and still white & sparkly but on the land to our left the ice had all melted in the morning sunshine.
We got to Roxburgh around lunch time, did Banjo jobs like emptying waste and filling the fresh water tanks, had a wander down the main street and then parked up at Black’s Cherry Orchard in the hills above Roxburgh.
After a late lunch and a wee siesta we went for a walk at Grovers Hill Walkway - up over Frog Rock with views over the town and across to the ranges, and down to a track above the beautiful, surging Clutha River. The sun set as we walked so it was all a bit dark, but still stunning!
Pasta for dinner and then binge watching the second season of The Gold.
