Merry Christmas Eve!
Another glorious day - starting with a beautiful sunrise over the eastern hills.

Feeling a bit like a Hobbit - I had 2 breakfasts after my early rise. One was healthy - chia and berry pudding - and one less so! Creamy scrambled eggs, using up the extra yolks from last night's pavlova, on a toasted Scottish bap - deeeelicious! Memories of St Andrews where these soft and tasty baps were the standard breakfast fare at University Hall in my first year (and largely responsible for my Freshman Fourteen weight gain!!!)
A while later, we headed to the beach so Louis could have a swim and I could stroll, but the stones were too much for my ankles so I had a long video call with Caroline instead and played with other people’s dogs! With the clearer water and calmer winds, clambering in and out of the sea was a little less treacherous this time, but even with this clarity, there was not a fish to be seen in the bay - I wonder what tidal issues create this anomaly?

Back at the van and around the campsite, we pottered a bit, did some traditional pre-Christmas prepping (ready for a scrummy roast veggie salad - no Brussel sprouts in sight!) and made more mince pies - some with added marmalade cos the mincemeat ran out! But mostly it was just chilling and siesta time.
Late afternoon we headed back to the bay for a swim - even I convinced myself I was going in! However, the water was too chilly for my liking and a rogue wave put me off as I dipped my toes in, so I left the swimming to Louis again!
Chicken korma-ish for dinner then settled in for Elf which was only on paid options so we watched Spirited then Fire Saga instead - play jah jah ding dong!
Sleep well one and all - I hope you’ve all been good and Santa rewards your efforts! We've switched on the fairy lights so hopefully he can find us!

Glorious photos. The whole world to yourselves.
