Friday 19 December
Friday chores day in Ōtautahi Christchurch - up early and off to DCB to get our new inverter installed in Banjo (yay - will be able to use microwave and coffee machine off grid from here on in!) then popped to Hornby for a coffee & an exciting visit to a Japanese supermarket where we were bamboozled by the packages of foodstuffs, but happy to stock up on cheap Kewpie salad dressings!
On to Papanui - Louis went for a swim at Graham Condon pool and I trawled the op shops dropped in 3 items, bought 3 - seems like a fair trade to me! Lunch at the mall then time for me to get fitted with my new Spider-Man knee braces while Louis picked up Banjo. They are super weird looking but will hopefully make hiking much easier - so long as everyone else stops laughing at me! 😜
Parked up at our old favourite, Treehouse Retreat, then headed over to Ella & Josh’s for Christmas present exchange then set out to look at a tiny home they are interested in and some land options, in the hope they can sell up and downsize for a while. Ended the day with dinner with some of their lovely friends before collapsing into bed! 💤
