Pouring with rain all day so a lovely walk on the beach was out of the question. Instead Louis worked on a video and I took the dark washing to Liquid Laundromat in Kaiapoi and dropped some stuff into the op shop. Very proud of being able to jam all our dark washing and towels into a large washer, and then second guess the "25 minute" timer to get back 29 minutes later with 1 minute to go on the machine!

Bumped into Ella at the Sallies while the washing was tumble drying and only bought a pair of shorts for kayaking in, which was a fair trade for the three tops I dropped off!

Back to Banjo for lunch and to dry off a bit, then out and about doing Banjo chores all afternoon - new grey water hose, new water filter, insulating tape, gas refill (fail) and a big food shop for the next few days and our next adventure which will not involve PAK’nSAVE prices! Both of us feeling a bit off and really tired - bizarre how things catch up with you when you hit the "pause button" and come back to real life rather than the nomadic odyssey.

Took a big flat chook over to roast for inner with Ella, Josh and the hoodlums - got a chance to see how their work on prepping the house to go on the market was going… pretty well! Nice work guys! Best entertainment of the evening was when Shadow somehow got cheese sauce on his back and Jessie started lickng it off; he was mortified, apparently it's ok for him to hump his sister, but not for her to have a cheesy snack off his back. It was so much fun, I smeared some more cheese sauce on for good measure and more giggles - poor Shadow, lucky Jessie!!!
