Chores, Downpours and "The Roses"

Tuesday 23 September

Spring showers had turned into tempestuous downpours - not really the weather we came north in search of 🙄

Abby was tied to work in the Moho with Harley so Jez, Louis and I got on with more chores. First stop was Liquid Laundromat to put on our shared laundry, then we wandered through the rain to Awanui Labs so that I could get bloods done ahead of next Monday’s appointment with my knee specialist. Very happy to find a lovely Labrador in there waiting for his owner - I think all medical places should have dogs available to lower patients’ blood pressure before going in to see the doc!

Popped into New World for supplies, swapped our wet washing from washers to dryer, bought cinema tickets, collected our dry washing then back to Oakwood POP for lunch.

I bravely took Harley for an afternoon walk around the vineyard next door but it was too wet for either of our likings so we didn’t stay out long.

BBQed burgers for an early dinner (three healthy lettuce wraps and one carbalicious bun for Louis!) then off to the Cathay Cinema to see The Roses which we all really enjoyed! Bonkers and brutal but very funny!
