Chores Day and the Arrival of the TrailLite!

Sunday 24 May
Our days in Ōtautahi Christchurch are often largely functional - so many chores and appointments to catch up on, and a lot less exploring & adventuring. Sunday was no exception - Louis wanted a swim and I had bags & bags of laundry 🧺 to do. Ella was working at Stella & Gemma so we scooped up Josh to hang out with us in Rangiora, hit the SPCA op shop and have lunch in & around our chores. Only fair as 40% of the laundry was his & Ella’s - their water supply has iron in it which stains the whites a pale shade of Trumpian-orange! 🟠😉
Back at Banjo after lunch we put away the laundry and made the bed with fresh linen - happiness! 😊 Tootled around and Louis got ELLAMY washed after 10-11 weeks of dust accumulation! Then as dusk started to fall Abby, Jez & Harley turned up after an epic 9 day round trip to Auckland to collect their new Moho upgrade - a brand new TrailLite.
I rushed out to the road to meet them and hopped in for a quick ride back to the POP. Harley was very welcoming - he must be tired of all this traveling! So good to see them again and to have a full inspection of their new purchase. We risked a celebratory dinner of Spaghetti Bolognese and a bottle of St Emilion in their elegant ash blonde surroundings then took Harley for a walk under the stars… where he rustled up a hedgehog 🦔
