Chilling around Oamaru

Another quiet day - after a long wet & windy night. Popped into Oamaru for Louis to have a swim & me to do a quick wash at Liquid Laundromat. Dropped into the Riviera Cinema to see what was on and bought $10 tickets for F1 (aka Grand Days of Top Thunder Pre Rush Gun Maverick) for the evening’s entertainment.

Back at Old Bones the rain has passed and it was just a bit breezy so I tried another beach walk but the tide was too high so I took the old Beach Road instead - marvelling at the relentless pounding waves and realising why the road had collapsed up ahead.

After a snack dinner we went back into town for a gas bottle refill, cinema snacks and 2 hours of high adrenaline F1 racing, Brad Pitt’s mega watt smile, a wholly predictable plot and some serious Top Gun sequence stealing! Such fun! 🤩
