Wednesday 10 September
Delayed Father’s Day for us - started with a Dilligas snuggle then we headed south to have Father’s Day brunch with Amy at Browne Street. Always a favourite haunt and the food is still excellent. Big brekkie for "Father", FODMAP friendly poached eggs & bacon for "Daughter" and haloumi & pumpkin salad for "Mother".
After an elusive hunt for the local Sallies op shop (turned out the whole row of shops has been demolished) and a wander past the new Avondale sign, we went north again to Banjo and I was excited to find my Black Box had arrived - over 5 years since I last got chosen to receive one!!
Jez was busy doing DIY jobs all around the house - in his happy place and covered in gib dust!
We took Summer over to Long Bay again for a lovely but barky walk along the beach in the breezy sunshine - she is such a beach babe!
Back at Banjo we decided it was time she had a wash before we set off travelling again so I mopped and Louis hosed her down - she’s looking pretty shiny now 🌟
Finished the day tired, damp and a tad windswept with roast chook for dinner - feels like Louis is really getting back on form!
