Back Among the Vines

A stunning morning at the Fitzroy Goldschmidt Vineyard - it was lovely waking up with Abby & Jez in the van just next to us.

Took Harley for a walk to the Dog Park where he performed brilliantly on the obstacle course and put the Goldie (Bodie) & springer (Bracken) spaniel we met there to shame!

On the walk back we found a couple of fig trees on Vintage Lane so Abby and I spent a while plundering them for their fruits - most of which were not yet ripe, but a couple of them were worth trying. But the dog walk had done its job - Harley was cream crackered and fell asleep under the van.

Lunch at the vineyard then off to do some shopping with an accidental detour to Moa Brewery on the way home! My highlight was the sheep in the trailer at the carpark at Pak'n'Save (you know you're in New Zealand when...)

But for the others the highlight was tasting flights at Moa - in the sunshine for once!

Dinner in the Moho - yummy burgers as the sun set in a fiery line under the clouds and above the hills.
