A Wet, Wild & Windy Day in Tamaki Makaurau

Friday 29 August

Bit of a wild and windy wet day - best place to be was inside Banjo! We did break cover a few times - drove Louis into Birkenhead (first time for him in a car since leaving the apartment) for shopping and a stroll, then off to find a Truck Stop for cheap as diesel. Back at Beach Haven I walked round to see my new found massage therapist Ty, who handily lives just 8 minutes walk away. Amazing massage and got 50% extra time as she is so thorough.

Louis had a lovely visit from Dave Parker and his wee friend Ted and I took the long way round to Killer Hair as winds were making the Harbour Bridge quite hazardous.

The new intern Hannah at Killer Hair was learning "blow waves with body" so I got a lovely free wash & blow dry - second pampering of the day! Was starting to look a bit Hannah Waddingham, but they toned it down a touch!

Swung by the Suttons place on the way home to plan a rather late Midwinter Christmas with Tineke who has offered to host it at their place this year. We settled on Midwinter Christmas Spring Fling as a theme, dress code florals! Then back to Beach Haven to join Louis for a lovely evening hanging out with Tim & Summer the dog… Mairi retired early as the week took its toll on her 😴
