A Haircut, A Beach Walk And A Campfire

Tuesday 26 May
Another lovely morning in Kaiapoi - blue skies and autumnal cool temperatures.
Abby was working and Louis & I tried to emulate her dedication by doing some admin & social media. Midmorning we headed into town so that Louis could swim and I could get a long-overdue haircut.
Having experienced too many dodgy haircuts in my life I wasn’t taking any chances so had asked Petra who did her hair as it’s always on point. She put me in touch with lovely Wendy who runs Shear Havoc - an infants salon for toddlers and kids who are nervous about getting a hair cut! I slotted in between the toddler appointment, got a wonderful cut & blow dry and had a great chat with Wendy. My only sadness was that the police car wasn’t big enough for me to sit in!!!
We had lunch at the mall after and then headed back to Kaiapoi. Louis had a siesta after his big swim and I popped round to Ella’s to take Jessie & Shadow for a walk to the beach - always so lovely getting out on that wild and windy shoreline.
Dinner back at Banjo then we lit the brazier fire again and watched the flames dance for an hour or so… nothing beats a fire on an autumn evening. 🔥
