Parting is such Sweet Sorrow...

At last - red sky at night, turned into shepherd’s delight as the sun rose over the vineyards.

Up earlyish to take Harley for one last trip to the dog park. Louis decided to cycle over to join us but hit two huge nails and got an instant flat tyre so never made it to the park. Back at the vineyard Louis & Jez fixed the tyre while Abby sorted the Moho and Harley hid under our table as he was not happy about leaving! Just look at his face when they loaded him into the Moho and belted him in to the table leg!

Said our farewells and the Tomkinsons set off south back to Timaru via Kaikoura & Ōtautahi Christchurch. Parting is such sweet sorrow #celebritytraitors

We popped into Blenheim so Louis could swim and I could drop off the NYE monstrosities at the Sallies (and accidentally buy some $3.50 jeans and a $3 cami… and a Joop&Gypsy BNWT top that I’m going to try to sell to fund my op shop habit!!)

Luke & Yamille were due back from their festive break in Singapore & Bali around 7ish so after a very late lunch around 4pm (!) we cooked a slap up roast chicken for dinner to say welcome back & thank you for letting us stay at the vineyard. The figs that were ripe were chopped up and added to our lunch and dinner salads - yum!

Lovely evening with them then a spot of blogging (still 2-3 weeks behind on updating the website 🙄) and tidying up Banjo for our imminent departure…
