Here come the Fernandi!

Woke to find the ginormous tractor still abandoned by the shed, and a bunch of people fiddling with it trying to get it working again! They left and it stayed - oops! Must have done something though as it disappeared later…

Chatted online with the Fernandi as they boarded the InterIslander in Wellington, then Louis headed into town for a long swim at the aquatic centre while I pootled around at the vineyard - a spot of admin, caravan housework and a walk over to the fig trees to see if they had any more chutney ingredients for me! First glance, looked like someone else had got all the good figs, but a good rummage under the lower leaves and I discovered a couple of dozen including some whoppers… fig chutney on the to do list!

Prepped lunch and some poo crackers (keto crackers made with psyllium) then excitement… Nickie and Russ arrived to start their 2 month trip with us 🎉

We welcomed them with a lunch of flat chook in the vineyard then a shopping trip into town with obligatory op shop stop, before heading to Moa for a flight of beers and a good catch up.

Chilli lime chicken fajitas for dinner in the Fernandivan as it was too cold outside, then a heap of future itinerary planning - so long as the sun puts in an appearance, it’s gonna be epic!
